This is my first blog, so please bear with me.
*Note* you will need to install SVG plug-in to see some of
graphic in here and sites I have linked in this blog.
Plug-in is found at: http://www.adobe.com/svg/viewer/install/
Anyway, a little bit while ago, I guess little over a month
ago, I discovered a new file format called SVG. It has some abilities of more
well known Flash. I soon discovered that SVG, while little bit less featured
than Flash, were totally open-source, and the SVG files uses XML so you can
simply open the file and tinker with it if you want.
The homepage for SVG. http://www.w3.org/Graphics/SVG
This is THE best resource for learning the basics and seeing
what it can do.

More advanced demos. A must-see to see what SVG can really do.

Abode is not the source of SVG format, but they had
supported the format and made a plug-in, which you will need to download to see
SVG graphics.
Now that you’re done, let’s see some of my own work.
First, I wanted to just play around with some animations.
*EDIT* OOPS apperently prohosting won't allow you to view SVG as is, but you can right click links to download the svg files then view them locally.
Fun witrh path animation
Very basic, but looks good.
But it was so basic, so I wanted to try out and use more
advanced graphic and effects. This is the result.
Ohh Scary indeed!
This is made from very few shapes. There are 2 circles, one
text object and a path. That’s all. You can edit the file and see what I had
done.
Programs used:
SodiPodi to make the SVG in first place, with all the fancy
graphics.
Abode’s plug-in for viewing SVG on website.
Notepad to add effects since SodiPodi is still quite new.
I hope this blog has been a enjoyable read for you.
